These Meet Ups, that I am writing about here, are Meet Ups between Dolly On Line Friends Meeting in person. I personally have had MANY Meet Ups with Dolly Friends. Never had any problems at all Meeting Dolly People. However. USE THE SENSE GOD GAVE YOU! If it does not feel right, do not go.

I can not tell you how many times I have met up with other Doll Lovers and Collectors that I have met on YouTube, and Instagram. I can not tell you, because I have not really counted. I have met MANY Doll Lovers and Collectors.

Many of these people I have met up with many times, text privately with, talk on the phone with and meet again for other Doll Shows and Events.

Dorie, that is Dories Dollies on Youtube and Instagram, is a Prime Example of this. Dorie and I, as well as our husbands, met at the First Dolly Meet Up I ever went to, in St. Louis, MO. She brought several dolls and I knew I wanted to take the time to talk to her FOR SURE!

I was only able talk to Dorie and her Gentleman Husband, one on one, at a Dolly Meet in St. Louis, for only a short time when someone asked me to walk them out. When I got back Dorie had left, and I was disappointed in that. However, I did get to talk to the other person a bit longer, walking her out.

Through time, I met up with Dorie again (and again) and I have gotten to know her and her husband. Deron and I have met up with them not only at several Doll and or Toy Shows, but we have also had Dinner and Lunches, played with our Kenner Blythe Dolls on Kenner Street (more than once) in Cincinnati Ohio. I have talked on the phone with Dorie for hours on end, texted, emailed, and have done MANY Collaborations and Challenges together on Youtube.

What I found out about Dorie is that my instincts about her were correct, she really IS as kind as the day I met her, more so really. She is fun and funny and Dorie KNOWS Dolls, not just a few types of Dolls, but Dolls. She does not have to look up information, she has lived it. Dorie has Collected Dolls from Childhood.

This photo was taken at The PUDDLE Doll Event 2024. I think at that point Dorrie and I have gone to at least five Dolls Shows where we Met Up.

Don't miss out on a Good Friend, you might get Lucky and meet someone like I met Dorie. Talk to people that you have things in common with. Ask them to Lunch or to Dinner, or for Coffee!

If you hear of, or want to set up a Dolly Meet Up; DO! Honestly. Dolly Friends are out there looking for someone like you, you just have to Carry a Doll to be noticed, speak up, and or go to Meet Ups.

"Keep Calm and Carry a Smart Doll", as well as, "Be Seen With A Smart Doll", are REAL 'Things".

I can not tell you, how many times, while out with a Doll, or one sort or another, I have met other Doll People.

If you are carrying a doll and people look at you sideways, smile and say, "This is a very high end fashion doll, I have a Youtube Channel." All of the sudden, you are not a freak, you are a STAR! Honestly, this really happens. People are funny. They go from looking down on you to looking up at you. And the Truth is. Me? I really do not care what people think. I carry dolls with me all the time. I have a Blythe Seat on my Bicycle Handle Bars, and Deron and I ride our bicycles, no motor, about 35 miles or more a week. We ride to town. We shop. We ride eat out in Restaurants. My Blythe Doll, Daisy, goes right along with us, and yes, I carry her inside with us when we arrive somewhere.

I wanted to write/add this page because an unbelievable thing happened to me.

I met a couple that not only live in my own small, that is TINY, town that own Smart Dolls. They do not own just a couple of Smart Dolls. Many! A full Collection. Not Just Smart Dolls, but a Smart Doll Small Business on Etsy. Their Shop is 'Not The Cool Dolls', and they have AMAZING items for Smart Dolls.

Here's how it happened. Deron and I were walking in a Hobby Lobby about 40 minutes from where we live. Our own town, under 8000 people, does not have stores like Hobby Lobby. We were there because I was buying fabrics to sew more for Blythe Dolls. At the time, I did not have Smart Dolls.

We walked through the doors at Hobby Lobby and what did I see at the Registers? A lady with a Smart Doll!~ So, since I am so shy (never in my life have I been shy) I shouted across the store...."Is that a Smart Doll?". "Yes." She answered back. "Could I see it?", I asked... and they started walking my way, and Deron and I theirs. We chatted and I gave her my Business Card.

A couple of months later I got a note from her on Instagram, saying why I had not heard from her and that they would like to have lunch, as I suggested when we met. More time passed. You know how time gets away, and matching schedules with other people.

About that same time I had done a Video on Youtube, see left. I had filmed it in our own town and got a note from the gal from Hobby Lobby, If you come to (town) again, they would like to meet up with us. I honestly LAUGHED OUT LOUD!~

Long Story Short. We have, at our town's Library, a 'Library Yarns' meeting each Monday Morning. This is where women (or anyone) meet at the Library and Crochet, Knit, Cross Stitch...I often do my hand sewing on those mornings for my dolls.

I asked her if she would like to come to the Library Yarns. THAT IS WHERE WE MET and we have of course gone back since, with our SMART DOLLS!~

I ask you? Not only how WONDERFUL is this? But? How LIKELY!~ Keep in mind, not only did we meet in a larger town from our own, we were both there with dolls! At the same time! Unreal! And so WONDERFUL! You just NEVER Know whey you will meet more Doll People.

Along those same lines...I have had Fabric Cutters in Fabric Stores, tell me they have dolls or someone they know does, or.... I always give them my card. How does this come up? As they are cutting my fabrics, I either have a doll with me, OR, I mention I sew for Dolls.

This is just ONE of the Meet Ups I have had over the years. Mine you, the most unusual. But. Keep reading.

Years Ago I had this idea. I live in the Middle of the Lower 48 USA and I thought... I should set up a Dolly Meet up at a Doll Show somewhere in this State. So I contacted another gal and asked if she would Co Host with me. She did. We choose St. Louis, MO, started talking about it on our Youtube Channels, and about 12 Doll Channels came!

We made it a Week End and went not only to the Doll Show, but also the Zoo, tried to go to a Miniature Museum (closed) had several meals together, and a Party up in a Suite that Deron rented. Deron made Pulled Pork, Chips, Cookies, Soda and Beer, and a few people brought Wine and Alcoholic Drinks. It was a Party complete with a Goody Bag (from Deron and I), Gifts (exchanged by about everyone there) and Games with Prizes. I had SUCH a Wonderful time.

Several of the people that came to that and I are still in contact. A few I have become friends with, that is, outside of dolls.

Cameron, Midwest Smart Dolls Ect., was another Doll Meet at a Doll Show, PUDDLE 2024. Luckily I gave Cameron my Business Card, because he contracted us and we were able to see him, and his Marai, again, for Breakfast in a town near us as he was traveling through. And I sure hope we get to do this again!~
